O-range Review
The very fact that Tinkara Kovac hails from Slovenia, and that she looks great, evokes immediate and enduring memories of the Hell that is the Eurovision Song Contest. Though, in fairness, her music tends toward the pop end of the scale - note that it's a tendency, not a four-square landing - what makes her a far more interesting proposition than any of the talentless, pretty-faced wasters regularly foisted upon us by Cowell and Fuller is that not only is she a gifted singer, but she also twirls the flute with an aplomb not seen since Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson ditched the tramp suit for a career as a salmon farmer. Add to that a guest appearance from The Alarm's Mike Peter's and you have an album that is as rewarding as it is surprising.
